Since the summer of 2022, for some 260 employees of Uhlmann Pac-Systeme in Laupheim, collaborating on projects in interdisciplinary teams has never been easier. The ideal conditions for this were created during the one-year renovation of the existing C4 building: from meeting rooms and focus zones to telephone booths and an elevator to the assembly area.

In the modern working world, the prime focus is on exchange. And this was something CEO Prof. Dr.-Ing. Matthias Niemeyer made a point of stressing at the inauguration in September, when he quoted Apple founder Steve Jobs as saying: “Great things in business are never done by one person; they’re done by a team of people.”

Which departments work in C4?
- 1st floor: UPD (around 110 staff), moved in in July 2022
- 2nd floor: UD (around 150 staff), moved in in August 2022
How long did the renovation work last?
Approx. 1 year: Planning began back in February 2021, and in May our colleagues moved out of the building and into the new D6 facility. Conversion work on C4 began in August 2021, involving 10 engineering and planning offices and 35 contractors.
