Through a LinkedIn post by project manager Christian Grab, many people learned about the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) with client Popular Pharmaceuticals Limited earlier this year. Grab has handled a whopping 27 projects with Bangladeshi clients over the past decade. But this time there was a special feature: two service technicians from our agency Khan & Deen completed a training course beforehand – and got to know the country and its people. Jahurul Islam and Miran Shah recorded their impressions for pactuell.
I had a wonderful time in Germany. The weather was freezing but the people warm and friendly. What impressed me, was the fresh air!

Training session
Jahurul Islam: “My trainers Thomas Collins and Jürgen Eisele explained the machine’s safety functions, maintenance, troubleshooting, and diagnostic method well. I was impressed and happy with the training, which benefited my work and customer support. The training covered topics such as how to increase the productivity of the machine, how to perform preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnose and solve common problems and optimize the machine’s performance. I learned a lot of new skills and techniques that I can apply in my daily work. The training also allowed me to network with other professionals in the field and share best practices and experiences.
I have so many beautiful memories from my trip to Germany. It was an unforgettable experience that I will cherish forever. I hope to visit again someday and see more of this fantastic country.

Training
Miran Shah: “It was a great experience, and I learned more than I anticipated. Thank you, all my trainer’s! All the instructors were excellent – incredibly patient, clear, and engaging! I think the course material overall was perfect and sufficient for in-depth learning. It helped me to work more formally and think more deeply about my work. This training was insightful, informative and exciting.”
Canteen
Jahurul Islam: The food at the Uhlmann canteen was delicious, especially the traditional German dishes. I tried some of them, such as Bratwurst, Schnitzel and Spätzle. The meals were hearty and satisfying – perfect for the cold weather.
Factory Acceptance Test
We participated in a Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) with our esteemed customer, Popular Pharmaceuticals Company. The FAT was a success, and our customer was pleased with the results. As a souvenir, Beate Glanz took a group photo for us. We are pleased with the lovely picture and the pleasant experience.
Weekend trip
Our friend Dirk Westenberger took us to the Neuschwanstein Castle, a beautiful mountain palace.
Snow
We saw snow for the first time, which was terrific. We had a lot of fun sledging, eating, and exploring the area.
Another weekend
We visited Ulm, Albert Einstein’s birthplace, with my friend Mr. Bernd Pfister. We saw the Ulm Minster, the highest church tower in the world, and climbed to the top for a stunning view of the city. We also walked along the Danube River, which flows through Ulm. We had lunch at a cozy restaurant by the river.
Bikes
Our friend Bernd Pfister arranged two bicycles for us to commute daily from the hotel in Laupheim to Uhlmann. It helped a lot to roam around Laupheim city as well. We were excited and appreciated his great hospitality.
Carnival
We experienced the carnival season, also known as the “Fifth Season,” with my friend Christian Grab. It was delightful to see the traditional festival and culture of Germany. We watched the parade and celebrated with the locals.
Reunion
Jahurul Islam: In September, I met Christian Grab again in Laupheim.
