WOW! Finally we were allowed to present Uhlmann live again. The joy was great, the fair was well received. We had some good conver­sa­tions and could tell: Our customers had also missed the fairs. For 2022, we hope that the encoun­ters will continue in this way and are partic­u­larly looking forward to ACHEMA, but also to many smaller face-to-face meet­ings.

Grüezi!

Due to Corona and home office, few meet­ings took place in the Arlesheim office in 2021. There­fore, we are very much looking forward to a small get-together. Tradi­tion­ally, we start this with a small apero.

We cele­brate together in a restau­rant in the amuse­ment park “Lise­berg”. We are looking forward to meeting together after the long Corona period. The amuse­ment park is trans­formed into a tradi­tional Christmas market and brings the Christmas spirit to life.

I’m looking forward to visiting Germany and seeing my family. And to seeing the reno­va­tion of a 160-year-old farm­house, live. We had guided them from England over a distance of 600 kilo­me­tres – and during a pandemic!
The camera footage of the resi­dent pine martens in the midst of the construc­tion work kept me on my toes!

Where that came from, I don’t know. According to Wikipedia, it started with tele­vi­sion programmes. Some also suspect the film “Bridget Jones” of having given us the “ugly Christmas jumpers”. But one thing is certain: we love these colourful things! In the mean­time, even brands like Jäger­meister or the bakery chain Greggs produce their own Christmas jumpers.
Wouldn’t that be an idea for Uhlmann, too? 😉

Indian festiv­i­ties – making life a cele­bra­tion! India’s rich and vibrant festi­vals are a testa­ment to our diverse tradi­tions and culture. We cele­brated the festi­vals of Dussehra and Diwali at the office with all UIN staff stationed in Pune.
On Diwali, Managing Director Sumeet Aroroa distrib­uted gifts to the employees.

We trainees are already doing a lot – for example, the Advent wreath. But we still have more plans: in 2022 we want to get good grades again, learn a lot of prac­tical things and meet new friends and colleagues.

I have been with the company for ten years as an assembly worker and I am happy to cele­brate my anniver­sary together with Wonder. During my time at Wonder, I married my beau­tiful wife and she gave birth to my son three years ago. I love my family, my work and Wonder!

SENSATIONAL was the perfor­mance of the entire KOCH project team during the intro­duc­tion of SAP S/4HANA. With a dura­tion of more than two years, valu­able discus­sions, perse­ver­ance and under diffi­cult Corona condi­tions, we rocked this project together.

Since I can’t spend Christmas with my family in Germany this year, I’m baking home­made pret­zels. When using caustic soda, the highest level of safety is required – hence the protec­tive clothing.
I reward myself (and my dear colleagues) with some­thing that reminds me of home.

In any case, we came through 2021 mostly healthy! The greatest joy for us was that we can offer food again (break­fast, catering, etc.). Above all, we had missed the personal contact with the staff.
We will also be there for you in 2022!

First of all, we got an Christmas calendar. A few days before Christmas, we planned a company outing to cele­brate the end of the year together. After Christmas, the company is closed for a week, so we enjoy the holi­days with our fami­lies and cele­brate the New Year.

The diffi­cult pandemic situ­a­tion has bonded our team even more. Besides the chal­lenging time, we continued to work, take care of our loved ones, enjoy nature and the art around us. May the next year continue in good health and spirits.

Since I love to cook, Christmas time is a special high­light for me. Because at this time of year, I like to get together with family, friends and also colleagues and treat them to a menu of their own. Our culture has many deli­cious compo­nents ready at this time: Freshly harvested pota­toes for Thuringian dumplings, sustain­ably raised poultry for roast goose and red cabbage from the Fildern for a tasty side dish.

Although Corona domi­nated our working day, we have been well occu­pied with work. In the course of the Black Belt project, we trans­formed our work­places in addi­tion to our work in ship­ping. Never­the­less, at the end of the finan­cial year in March, we recorded 2,500 packed and shipped pack­ages.
We wish all our colleagues a wonderful Advent season.

We will go to a German restau­rant and get a feeling of Christmas with tradi­tional food like goose and red cabbage. Together with the other depart­ments we will have an “Wichtel” party and exchange small gifts. A healthy and successful new year to all colleagues!

At Digital Solu­tions we have colleagues from nine different coun­tries. We are avail­able to our clients in about 20 languages (including Swabian) – but we all speak “Pexcite”.

Despite the tense Corona situ­a­tion, our final assem­blers installed the new machines for our customers world­wide. Once again, we would like to thank them for this!

Christmas time is still a time with family and very old friends in the home­town. I hope that there will finally be a chance to visit Germany and see parents and friends again after more than two years. At the same time, I hope for all colleagues that they can spend time with their fami­lies and start the year 2022 with health and peace.

Team spirit?! That has always existed in our team! Even the home office couldn’t keep us apart! With our weekly meet­ings, the Monday-Smart-Meeting, the UHRD-Jour Fixe on Wednesday and the Coffee-Break on Friday, it was easy!

Last year, we were able to further digi­talise and auto­mate sales-rele­vant processes by mapping them in Sales­force, thus making them centrally avail­able to our sales colleagues world­wide. Whether in the office or at home, everyone is up to date with Sales­force.

The number of visi­tors has almost halved from 2019 (10609 visi­tors) to 2020 (5841 visi­tors). There were more external visi­tors in 2021, but that seems to be changing again at the moment. For 2022, we wish everyone good health and remain undaunted! And we wish for a little less bureau­cracy again 🙂
