Traditions must be cultivated - the Uhlmann-Halder Cup celebrated its 25th birthday this year. Congratulations to the Uhlmann team for 3rd place!

At that time, there was no such thing as a soccer tournament at night. So two school friends started one – Martin Halder from Erwin Halder KG and Karlheinz Kösling from Uhlmann Pac-Systeme. The Uhlmann-Halder Cup was born.
The participating teams are companies from the region and beyond the county border, some even from abroad, including customers and suppliers of both organisers. Some companies are regular participants and have been taking part for decades. The tournament is played in 4 groups against each other, each match lasting 10 minutes. The tournament starts at 6 p.m. and the finals are played under floodlights, which makes the tournament so special.
The Uhlmann-Halder Cup is traditionally very well organised and offers the opportunity to exchange ideas with colleagues from different departments.

This year, the Uhlmann team, a motley crew from different professional groups and areas (trainees, students, quality, assembly and construction), was able to take an excellent 3rd place in this small field soccer tournament! The preliminary round was finished sovereign with 5 wins and a goal ratio of 26:1 as group winner. After the 6:0 quarterfinal against Südpack from Ochsenhausen, a 1:3 defeat against the later tournament winner Zeba from Wain unfortunately followed in the semifinal. The 3rd place was then secured by a 6:0 against Kässbohrer.
I especially like the fact that we can show our faces together here and compete against other companies. Next year we will attack again!

After the tournament is before the tournament! The interest in participating as a soccer player is great and many long-time and annually new kickers are already looking forward to the next tournament.
And we may meet next year to cheer on the grounds of Sportfreunde Bronnen?! We heard that the catering and the also traditional after-work party afterwards should not be bad 😉
