Landsknechtszug Ellerbach-Freyberg
With them:
Reiner Mann (Sales Manager/USE)
Reiner Mann has been involved in the Landsknechtszug Ellerbach-Freyberg for many years. He says: “As I was born in Laupheim, I have always had a very close connection to the children’s and local history festival. It has been my “pleasant duty” to take part in the parades since I was in the first grade at school.
I have been an active member of the Landsknechtszug Ellerbach-Freyberg since 1986. This historical fanfare procession is named after the noble families who ruled Laupheim around 1500 and, in addition to the Laupheim town festival, also performs in other traditional festivals, town anniversaries, knights’ tournaments and medieval days at home and abroad.

With this association, we organize the “Sternmarsch der Fanfarenzüge” and run the “Hasengrube”, a historical camp with drinks and good food, during the town festival. I was part of the organising team there for many years.
Today I’m taking it a little easier. But you can still find me helping with the drinks and wherever else support is needed. And if there is nothing to do, I also like to drink a cold beer.”
Laupheim Voluntary Fire Brigade and Laupheim Fire Brigade Support Association
With them:
Matthias Fischer (Environmental, Health & Safety Engineer/UHS)
Matthias Fischer has been an active member of the Feuerwehr Förderverein e.V. and the Laupheim voluntary fire brigade for 40 years – and he puts his heart and soul into it: “The Laupheim voluntary fire brigade takes on several important tasks at the Heimatfest: we are on duty for any emergencies, and a crisis management team made up of representatives from Laupheim, the fire department, the Red Cross and the Heimatfest association is on hand and works in the background on all festival days. But it also includes pleasant tasks such as selling festival ribbons on the parade days and accompanying the parades and fireworks.”

Camaraderie, solidarity and teamwork – no fire brigade and fire department support association can exist without this.
Matthias Fischer, Environmental, Health & Safety Engineer/UHS
The Feuerwehr Förderverein Laupheim e.V. has also been involved in the Heimatfest for many years. Formerly as a marquee operator and today in the Hasengrube with a bar. At the opening parade in 2023, the presentation of the vintage Magirus Rundhauber LF16 built in 1963 was a real highlight. The team had spent four years lovingly restoring the vehicle!
Matthias’ musical tip for the Heimatfest 2024:
- 27.06.2024: Laupheimer City Musikanten and the Brassmusix from Ummendorf
- 28.06.2024: Schnokastich band from Schönebürg

Baltringer bunch

Monika Sigg (Executive Consultant/currently on parental leave)
The history of the Baltringer Haufen was written during the Peasants’ War of 1524/25. Farmers and craftsmen from Baltringen, not far from Laupheim, united against the authorities: in the Peasants’ War, they demanded the end of serfdom.

We are all young people in the marching band. We also meet up outside of the Heimatfest and play serenades at weddings, for example. We are always looking for young talents: drummers, pipers and jugglers.
Evelyn Hagel: as a flutist since 2013
Every year, the history of the historic Baltringer Haufen is brought back to life at the Heimatfest. Visitors get a glimpse into times gone by in the historical part of the festival grounds, into the camp life of the Hasengrube and during the three festival parades and the Star March – with a total of four groups: Peasant choir, marching band with drummers & flutes, jugglers, dancers, who bring back the rural atmosphere of the 16th century.
Become part of the Baltringer Haufens – we look forward to hearing from you!

As drum major, I lead the marching band with the drummers and flutes. We play in the camp and take part in the parades on Friday, Sunday and Monday.
Meike Miller: drummer since 2007

Taking part in the parades and the farmers’ snack together in the camp is one of my annual highlights. Young and old come together in a relaxed atmosphere and enjoy the delicious snacks and beer.
Tobias Schöffmann: as a singer since 2018

The Baltringer Haufen is an integral part of camp life at the Heimatfest. As club members, we help with the construction and dismantling of the wine bar and with the catering.
Monika Sigg: since 2021 as a flutist

The children’s festival girls

We simply love going to the children’s festival. It started with a bag with a motif – a “Laupfrosch” with a little crown in the Laupheim colors, limited edition. The following year we added a headdress, of course in green, red and white… and so it went on, with ever new ideas, until we had our first children’s festival dress, which a friend sewed for us.
After the party is before the party and we always have a new idea in mind and every year it’s really exciting right up to the end because firstly we have to agree and secondly we have to find the right thing! With all the trimmings. But on Thursday, when it finally starts, all the stress is forgotten.
Many thanks to all the contributors for their great input. The pactuell team would like to wish all colleagues a wonderful Heimatfest!
