Fit4LifeOn Your Marks, Get Set, GO!

Interval training, back fitness, yoga, morning wake-up and stress relief workouts, etc.: With Fit4Life, Uhlmann is offering employees a wide range of courses to improve physical or mental well-being. From January to June 2021, the sports and mental training courses took place online, leaving us calm and poised for the coming fall season. Because training in front of the computer works just as well as in the gym.

In the first half of the year, our Fit4Life training courses were held online and included the following activities:

  • High-intensity interval training
  • BodyPump
  • Morning Wake-Up
  • Yoga
  • Back Fitness
  • Body in Balance

Our cooperation partner, Sportpark Laupheim, ran the courses with trainer Ute Rothenbacher. Ute has 25 years’ experience working in the fitness industry and always finds the right mix: from high-intensity power workouts to relaxing, cool down exercises.

A fitness trainer, certified IHK fitness instructor, Pilates and rehab sports trainer, Ute creates a fun and motivating atmosphere.

This is what participants have to say about the courses:

The HIIT workout with Ute was the perfect after-work pick-me up in these times of coronavirus. I am already looking forward to the next range of courses.

Jennifer Menhard, Trainee Digitalization

I really enjoyed the course. It was a great alternative to club sports that had to be cancelled due to the pandemic. In fact, I liked it so much that I will sign up again in parallel with my club sports training.

Anna Lohmüller, Commercial Sales Support

For me as a mom, it was so easy to join in because I was able to exercise without all the organizational hassle. Keep up the good work! I will be back for the next course!

Verena Borner, Price List Specialist

Mental balance is also important, especially in these trying times

And the perfect program for this …

  • Resilience – Optimism – the key to greater strength and well-being
  • Mindfulness for stress management

…was enjoyed by many colleagues, who were all highly motivated and inspired by the courses. For the fall season, we are planning to hold a new course focused on “well-being”, says Gina Braun.

Gina and Simone have taken matters into their own hands

The idea of holding the training courses online came from our colleagues Simone Feigelmann and Gina Braun who took care of getting everything organized and running successfully. So a big thanks for that!

Exercising helps you strengthen your immune system and reduce the risk of falling ill. So be sure to take good care of your body. It’s the only place you have to live.

Simone Feigelmann, Team Leader Quotation & Order Management After Sales

Together we are simply better. This also applies to the courses we offer. Simone is always discovering new sports and fitness courses, while I enjoy looking out for additional programs to improve mental well-being. It makes us incredibly happy to see just how much our colleagues appreciate and embrace all this.

What’s next on the agenda for the fall?

Check the portal for updates on whether and what new courses will be starting in the fall.

It is yet unclear if the Fit4Life courses will look like this picture from 2019’s Body Pump any time soon. However, we hope for the best!

Simone Feigelmann is confident that they will: “Various options and a varied program are being prepared so that we can kick off again after the summer break and also keep body and mind fit during the dark season.”

All right then. It’s On Your Marks, Get Set, GO!
