Family day 2025Moments that last

On May 24, the time had finally come: Uhlmann Pac-Systems in Laupheim opened its doors to over 5,000 guests for Family Day 2025. Our colleague Thomas Kaiser, his partner and his children take us through their day.

At the Uhlmann Family Day, all employees were able to take a tour of the assembly halls and offices with Family & Friends. There was plenty on offer, from machine demonstrations and specialist presentations to hands-on activities in the training workshop and a varied outdoor program, fun guaranteed for kids and adults alike. Culinary delights were served, including in a beautiful beer garden – complete with maypole. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the Uhlmann family once again for this unforgettable day!

Kaiser family, what did you think of the family day?

Thomas Kaiser: “As this was my first family day at Uhlmann, there was a lot of excitement beforehand. My children were already looking forward to the family day and had made time for it, which is quite a compliment considering the teenage age of my sons Benjamin (16 years) and Jonas (14 years). My daughter Hannah (10 years old) was also very excited about what there was to see and experience at Uhlmann. As we live in Laupheim, we set off on our bikes towards Uhlmann shortly before 10am. We then queued up at Plant 5 to start the family day there. There was a lot going on – but the waiting time was very entertaining, as we met lots of friendly and curious colleagues and their friends and were able to take the opportunity to get to know each other in a “completely different” way.

It was a great day with the best weather, lots of good-humored familiar and previously unfamiliar faces in a great environment. I am grateful for the wonderful day and the opportunity to present my employer to my loved ones with joy and a good dose of pride.

After the interesting tours of production in Plant 5 and Plant 1 with lots of good questions from my children, we then spent “far too little time” in the Magic Sky area. The view of their dad’s desk, the hands-on activities in the training workshop and the new office worlds were also a highlight for all of us. At lunchtime, there was something tasty on offer for every taste, so everyone was able to cater for their own physical well-being. We will particularly remember the generally good atmosphere and the realization of how many families in Laupheim and the surrounding area hang out with and from Uhlmann. THANK YOU to everyone who made this possible.”

The family day at Uhlmann deserves its name, as there was plenty on offer for young and old. Overall, everything was very well organized and the hours flew by.

Very informative, good insight into the various workplaces and departments, individual stations were well explained and questions were answered in a friendly manner; free drinks were great, the fun program for children was also superbly planned and executed. The choice and variety of food was fantastic. So once again “THANK YOU” for letting me come along.

Benjamin, 16 years

My favorite part was the running machine with the basil seeds to take home and the hands-on activities in the training workshop.

Jonas, 14 years

I really liked the bouncy castle – and the food was very tasty. It was also exciting to see where dad works.

Hannah, 10 years

Visit from Balingen

The bus from Balingen arrived at 10 a.m.. A delegation from our newest Group member, Goldfuß Engineering GmbH, was curious about the headquarters and didn’t want to miss out on a visit to Laupheim.

It’s a great feeling to have joined the Uhlmann family.
