Jinzhou Wonder Packing Co., Ltd. is getting bigger – as testi­fied by an impres­sive new building in the indus­trial area of Jinzhou, a city with three million inhab­i­tants in north­eastern China. The deci­sion to build the new facility came twenty years after the company was founded in 1998. The Wonder Managing Director Henry Fang explains why: “The new admin­is­tra­tion building and produc­tion facility repre­sent the latest state-of-the art, some­thing that both Wonder and the entire Uhlmann Group stand for. And the premises also provide ample space to accom­mo­date Wonder’s further expan­sion.”

Just four-and-a-half months after the building work began, Wonder’s team of around 200 colleagues were able to take up their duties in the new 3,300- square-meter admin­is­tra­tion building and the 12,000-square-meter produc­tion hall at the end of 2019. Another 8,000 sqm facility is reserved for the next phase of produc­tion expan­sion.

Equally impressed by the new building is Tobias Uhlmann, Chairman of the Uhlmann Super­vi­sory Board, at its inau­gu­ra­tion in 2019.

Just in time to mark Wonder’s ten-year affil­i­a­tion with the Uhlmann Group, the pandemic situ­a­tion had finally reached a point where it was possible for our colleagues in China to cele­brate the anniver­sary with a family day. “It was a fantastic day that clearly showed just how comfort­able our employees feel – not only in the new building, but also as part of the Uhlmann Group.”
