What is behind the modified image of the Uhlmann Group Companies? Four questions put to Ralph Breymaier, Head of Corporate Communications

Mr. Brey­maier, why is a uniform appear­ance in the Uhlmann Group so impor­tant?

All the compa­nies of the Uhlmann Group operate world­wide – on various markets and in different sectors. By applying a harmo­nized image, we can commu­ni­cate our corpo­rate values across all markets and sectors as a group. The Uhlmann Group special­izes in solu­tions relating to the reli­a­bility and safety of sensi­tive prod­ucts. The new logo enables customers to recog­nize at a glance that the indi­vidual compa­nies are combined under one umbrella and part of a strong commu­nity.

How will the iden­tity of the Group Compa­nies Uhlmann Pac-Systeme, Koch Pac-Systeme, Cremer, and Wonder be main­tained?

Each of the company logos has been modi­fied: the one to a greater extent, the other to a lesser extent. However, we are not simply throwing an Uhlmann cloak over each iden­tity. We have set this course jointly. We compared the marketing tools of the group members and then refined the best solu­tions.

Will the old logos no longer to be used at all?

The old logos are out as of January 1. We will begin with the changeover of digital docu­ments and then printed mate­rial will be replaced. The tran­si­tion should be completed by April 1. All existing busi­ness cards and stationery, for example, should be used up by then.

What about the appear­ance of the Group Compa­nies at trade shows? Will all the prod­ucts of the Group always be presented?

We want to harness syner­gies and gener­ally demon­strate at trade shows that all the compa­nies belong to the Uhlmann Group. However, that does not mean that we will always present all brands at every event. That would not be sensible. Our appear­ance at trade shows addresses our target groups and our brands will appear accord­ingly. The specific form will be decided in each indi­vidual case, but the booth will visibly display the Uhlmann Group logo.
