\u201cHey, do you play an instru\u00adment? Then why not join us!\u201d This is how we regu\u00adlarly approach and invite colleagues to join our team. It all started over 30 years ago. At that time, we were just a small group of five, and the first time we performed was at a Christmas party back in December 1991 at a mulled wine festival (Gl\u00fch\u00adwe\u00adin\u00adfest). Grad\u00adu\u00adally, the group expanded and evolved into a small orchestra. And that\u2019s when we real\u00adized: We need a conductor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Music has always played an impor\u00adtant role in my life \u2013 and the harmony of music brings people together. Each musi\u00adcian with their instru\u00adment contributes to the overall sound of the orchestra \u2013 and this alone ensures consis\u00adtently outstanding results. As a conductor, it\u2019s a great feeling to have a team of musi\u00adcians you can rely on. And that\u2019s what has always given me the greatest plea\u00adsure and satis\u00adfac\u00adtion in this job.<\/p>\nDietmar Ott, 1st<\/sup> conductor of the orchestra, served as conductor for over 25 years<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Today, the orchestra has around 50 musi\u00adcians. Some only play in the orchestra from time to time, some drop out and return later, while others have been on the team since the very begin\u00adning. It\u2019s great that we have colleagues here from all areas of the company. You get to know people you would normally never meet work\u00adwise, or whom you only know by sight; that always makes it inter\u00adesting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Music is the common language of all musi\u00adcians. In the Uhlmann Orchestra, newcomers make music with expe\u00adri\u00adenced colleagues. They regu\u00adlarly manage, within a short space of time, to create some\u00adthing wonderful. And that\u2019s what connects you.<\/p>\nArmin Boxler, many years a musi\u00adcian in our orchestra, and conductor for over 5 years<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Change happens every\u00adwhere. And the Uhlmann Orchestra is no excep\u00adtion. For our next perfor\u00admance at the \u201cWeih\u00adnacht\u00adsza\u00aduber 2024\u201d Christmas event, we will be led by a new conductor: Matthias Schrade, Automa\u00adtion Engi\u00adneer, UCUM, is looking forward to picking up the baton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Uhlmann Orchestra is a great thing. Here you can forget the stress of everyday life, devote your\u00adself to your hobby and make new contacts very easily. The joy of making music together, the sense of commu\u00adnity, and doing it all volun\u00adtarily. The reper\u00adtoire ranges from Jingle Bells to hits by Michael Jackson, etc. In between times, we also stop off for a bite to eat some\u00adwhere to foster our fellow\u00adship and friend\u00adship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
