Because, when the sales manager grabs his guitar, he some\u00adtimes feels the urge to play heavy metal. His aptly named band, \u201cThe End\u201d is an alter\u00adna\u00adtive rock cover band whose reper\u00adtoire includes classic rock and punk, and, of course, heavy metal. But they also play unplugged with just a double bass, guitar and ukulele. \u201cWe simply what to stand out from other cover bands who only play chart hits\u201d, Rotter explains.<\/p>\n<p>Every note, no matter how hard or soft, has to be spot on \u2013 that\u2019s impor\u00adtant to the six-piece band and the reason why they try to rehearse every week, although their busy sched\u00adules permit no more than ten gigs a year: \u201cWe want to rock the stage!\u201d, says the guitarist with a laugh. And that can be in a pub, at a motor\u00adcycle rally, or any other event that can accom\u00admo\u00addate a crowd of about 100 to 2,500 in the greater Allg\u00e4u area \u2013 so just about \u201canywhere people come to enjoy pure rock music and have a good time\u201d he adds.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-2424\" src=\"https:\/\/pactuell.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2022\/08\/Christian-Rotter-rockt-01-375x375.jpg\" alt width=\"380\" height=\"502\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pactuell.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2022\/08\/Christian-Rotter-rockt-01-680x899.jpg 680w, https:\/\/pactuell.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2022\/08\/Christian-Rotter-rockt-01-768x1016.jpg 768w, https:\/\/pactuell.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2022\/08\/Christian-Rotter-rockt-01.jpg 878w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 380px) 100vw, 380px\"><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>You can find us anywhere people come to enjoy pure rock music and have a good time.<\/p>\n<p><cite>Chris\u00adtian Rotter<br>\n<\/cite><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>He can still clearly recall his very first gig. \u201cThe first time you stand in front of an audi\u00adence, it can be quite mind-blowing\u201d. After a few songs, though, the whole band starts to notice\u00adably relax and today, he only feels \u201cpure elation\u201d. Mean\u00adwhile, THE END has been together for more than 17 years.<\/p>\n<p>For Rotter, performing to an audi\u00adence is good training for his job. As a sales repre\u00adsen\u00adta\u00adtive in the field, his work involves a lot of trav\u00adeling and meeting people: \u201cYou get a feel for who is standing in front of you. Today, when I discuss things with customers or hold a presen\u00adta\u00adtion, I feel at least as confi\u00addent as I do when I\u2019m playing my guitar on stage.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It was a long journey to the stage, and began when he started playing the guitar at the age of six. The young Chris\u00adtian Rotter first takes clas\u00adsical lessons and plays rock in various school bands. In 2005, he co-founds the \u201cTHE END\u201d with his best friend from child\u00adhood days. Today, the band is still going strong and is a perma\u00adnent fixture in the Allg\u00e4u music scene. Band members came and went, and the coro\u00adn\u00adavirus pandemic also took its toll, forcing them to cancel not only gigs, but also weekly rehearsals: \u201cRehearsals are vital; not only to ensure high-quality music, but also because they give you a great sense of compan\u00adion\u00adship and personal balance.\u201d Rotter also misses engaging with the audi\u00adence: \u201cThe audi\u00adence gives you so much back, and that\u2019s why not being able to perform was so frus\u00adtrating.\u201d And as if that wasn\u2019t enough, after ten years, the band also had to abandon their rehearsal room after it had been irreparably damaged by water.<\/p>\n<p>Mean\u00adwhile, a new rehearsal room has been set up and new gigs have been fixed. Is there anything Chris\u00adtian Rotter is still missing to achieve perfect musical bliss? His answer\u2019s nothing like you \u2018d expect from a rock star.
