Uhlmann Nordiska AB was founded in 2000 and is respon\u00adsible for eight coun\u00adtries: Iceland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.<\/p>\n

In addi\u00adtion to Uhlmann Pac-Systeme, the Excel\u00adlence United partner compa\u00adnies Bausch + Str\u00f6bel, Glatt, and Harro H\u00f6fliger, as well as the Group Compa\u00adnies Koch and Cremer, are repre\u00adsented in V\u00e4stra Fr\u00f6lunda from the 100 percent owned Uhlmann company.<\/p>\n

It is a good sign when the sound of a bell rings out in V\u00e4stra Fr\u00f6lunda. The twelve staff members from Uhlmann Nordiska, who are all accom\u00admo\u00addated under one roof in the office just south of Gothen\u00adburg, then know that someone has been successful.<\/p>\n

The Managing Director of Uhlmann Nordiska, Mats Jirblom, had the idea of hanging up a ship\u2019s bell that is rung when a member of the team has accom\u00adplished some\u00adthing posi\u00adtive of any nature, big or small. \u201cIt is a minor thing with a major effect in terms of team spirit. Everyone can share the news with the others by chiming the bell when some\u00adthing is successful. It passes on posi\u00adtive vibes\u201d, is his expla\u00adna\u00adtion.<\/p>\n

Well-known names on the customer list<\/h4>\n

As the coro\u00adn\u00adavirus is currently forcing the colleagues to work from home on the whole, it has become much quieter in the light-colored wood and brick office building. Never\u00adthe\u00adless, the team based at our most northerly loca\u00adtion, still has reasons to be pleased with what they have achieved.<\/p>\n

The customer list includes reputable names such as Orion Pharma from Finland, AstraZeneca in Sweden and Novo Nordisk in Denmark. Since many customers have closed their doors to visi\u00adtors due to the pandemic, the sales managers from Uhlmann Nordiska have not been able to travel, and services cannot be carried out to the accus\u00adtomed extent. However, even in excep\u00adtional times, the colleagues are sticking to what is essen\u00adtial for success: soli\u00addarity.<\/p>\n

Jirblom sees commu\u00adni\u00adca\u00adtion between staff members as an Uhlmann Nordiska trait: \u201cThe keyword is enjoy\u00adment. When the colleagues enjoy what they do, their perfor\u00admance is better. That is the culture we prac\u00adtice here.\u201d<\/p>\n

The man from Gothen\u00adburg not only believes in chiming the bell when some\u00adthing has been accom\u00adplished. When everyone turns up for the first coffee break between 9:45 am and 10:00 am, talking about work is taboo. \u201cIn the interest of team spirit, it is impor\u00adtant to relax now and again, get to know one another, and report latest news\u201d, says Jirblom. He also prac\u00adtices \u201cManage\u00adment by walking around\u201d, as he calls it, for the same reason. He normally walks around a few times a day to chat with the colleagues and see how things are going.<\/p>\n

According to Jirblom, optimum commu\u00adni\u00adca\u00adtion is not only impor\u00adtant inter\u00adnally, but is also essen\u00adtial with customers. Conse\u00adquently, he is a big fan of the idea \u201clocal for local\u201d \u2013 being present where customers are based. \u201cWe still focus strongly on Laupheim, but we have to be where the customers are. Then we are able to under\u00adstand how customers tick and can read between the lines\u201d, states Jirblom.<\/p>\n

The 52-year-old, who joined Uhlmann in 2012, under\u00adstands German pretty well. He travels to Laupheim once or twice a month. Only when colleagues speak the Swabian dialect is he out of the conver\u00adsa\u00adtion: \u201cThey do that when I\u2019m not supposed to under\u00adstand some\u00adthing\u201d, he says with a laugh.<\/p>\n
